Bradenton Country Club Announces Pickleball
Bradenton Country Club is proud to announce Pickleball to their amenities. Ground breaking on two of the six total courts will be Friday, July 21st 2017. The initial courts will be ready for play this Fall.
Pickleball is a court sport played on a small court with the net set to a height of 34 inches at the center. The game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. In addition, the game has developed a passionate following due to its friendly, social nature, and its multi-generational appeal.
“The sport is simple to learn, and beginners are often playing on their own by the end of one lesson. Pickleball is a fun game of shot placement and patience, not brute power or strength, which is one reason why it appeals to players of all ages”, according to Jack Steyn, Bradenton Country Club’s Tennis Director.
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing racket sports in the US with leagues, tournaments and team play. We plan to promote and expand the play of Pickleball through lessons, clinics and demonstrations.
