As a junior, he played AJGA, MAPGA, USGA, and played high school golf in Virginia. During his time playing high school golf, he was a regional runner up and state qualifier. This took his golfing career to college golf at West Virginia, as well as playing mini tour events in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Florida.
